Money Monday's With Gina - Financial Planning: Why You Need It

Do You Have a Financial Plan?

Did you know that two-thirds of Americans would not be able to scrape together $1,000 from their savings if an emergency were to occur tomorrow? Are you in that same category?

If so, it’s not your fault -- despite relying on and living in a capitalist economy, the average American has no idea how our economic system works, including how to properly put their financial affairs in order.

My goal is to make sure that you don’t get caught without a plan when an emergency arises. I want to be sure that when you’re ready to take that next step and go to college, or add to your family, or move to a new home, you have the financial means to do so.

No matter what your financial situation is, it’s important that you know the basics of banking and finances, especially if you have a family, want a family, or plan on caring for a loved one as a dependent one day.

Join me for Money Monday's With Gina - Financial Planning: Why You Need It on Monday, June 28th at 5:30 pm CDT, to get a crash course in creating a financial plan to support the future lifestyle you want to live.

What Will I Learn in This Class?

Financial planning is more than creating a budget. During this experience, you will:

- Learn how to list your assets, liabilities, and more, as well as find out what these terms mean, once and for all!
- Learn about family planning, and what to expect when you’re expecting a newborn.
- Figure out what your insurance options are and why it’s important to have coverage.
- Learn about investing, and decide whether investing your money is the right choice for you and your financial situation.
- Get tips and advice about how to save your money in ways that you may not know about!

On top of all this, you’ll get an idea of what the average American’s financial situation looks like, with the hope being that you’ll realize that you’re not alone in the financial struggles you face.

What’s The Point?

Unfortunately, a lot of Americans don’t know the first thing about finances. Sure, we all know a little about budgeting, how to tell when we’re spending too much, and maybe even a little about the 401(k) we might get from our jobs.

But when it comes to the things that accountants and business executives talk about, the majority of us are left out to dry. Because we don’t learn about financial planning in school, or get a crash course on the in’s and out’s of investments, IRA’s and cash flow analysis, the majority of us are unsure of what to make of words like “fiduciary” and confused when it comes to retirement planning. I’m here to share that it doesn’t have to be that way!

By taking advantage of this experience, you’re taking the first step in educating yourself about the things that most people don’t.

You work hard for your money, and I want to help you handle it with confidence.
